Tata Group-controlled Vivanta by Taj is planning to add 10 more hotels in its network to take its count to 40 in the next five years.
Of these 10 hotels, two would be coming up in Guwahati and Amritsar this fiscal.
"We would have 10 more Vivanta by Taj hotels in next five years... We would open Vivanta by Taj at Guwahati in next six months," said Vivanta by Taj Hotels & Resorts Chief Operating Officer Veer Vijay Singh.
He further added: "We have projects at places like Rishikesh, Andaman and Nicobar islands and Lakshadweep in pipelines."
Vivanta by Taj -- which has its hotels in Sri Lanka, Maldives and Malaysia -- has also plans to foray into Middle East and Africa.
"We have plans to expand more in Middle East and Africa. Our Dubai property is coming in next three years," Singh added.
However, Singh did not shared the investment details for expansions.
Vivanta is a five-star hospitality brand in the Taj portfolio positioned in the upscale segment. Presently, it has 30 hotels under this hospitality brand.
The company today launched Vivanta by Taj in Dwarka today, which is the seventh hotel of the Taj group in the NCR region.
Spread over seven acres of land near the airport, Taj group has invested around Rs 380 crore in 250-room hotel, which would primarily attract the air travelers due to its proximity with the airport.
"This has been in partnership with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, which owns the land. This hotel could be extended also when the need arises," Singh added.
